How to use ? After you order and pay for the server, you will receive an email with access details. This is everything you need to start and manage your server. How to do that ? In your home directory you will see readme.txt file with instructions how to run and manage your server. Starting your server for the first time: Get SFTP client like WinSCP. Use it to connect to your server by IP, username and password provided in welcome email message. On the server, there are two directories: otserver and www. Upload your game files into the otserver directory. Then upload website files into www directory. Go to phpMyAdmin and setup new user and database for your server. Fill in the database information into config.lua and import schema.sql Delete !stop file to start your server. You will see output from your server console in output.txt file. How to manage? To stop your server, create a file called “!stop†in your home directory. It will be killed (remember to save first) and won’t be restarted as long as this file exists. Delete it to start your server. To restart a server, create a file called “!restart†in your home directory. It will be killed and started again at first possible moment. This option is useful only if you don’t have /shutdown command and want to reload. When you issue /shutdown command, you server will stop and restart automatically. To change version of TFS used to run your OTServer, edit “.tfs-version†file. List of available options to put here will be in readme.txt. You can always ask us for any revision you want if it’s not yet on the list and we will prepare it for you for free ASAP. Notes: Web server will respond to ANY domain name with one www directory in your home dir. You can get root access if you need it (unlikely) for free, but it will void your support service.
